Come and learn to sew at a
MeMade Sewing Workshop
Sewing Machine 101 Cost: $45
Get on good terms with your sewing machine. We’ll cover everything from winding a bobbin and changing a needle, to discovering all your stitch options. At the end of the class you’ll know what all the levers and dials are for and be able to troubleshoot potential problems. You’ll get to put your new skills and knowledge to use making a drawstring bag.
If you’ve not used a sewing machine before or you need a refresher then this is the class for you. All materials included, just bring a sewing machine and thread.
When: Sat 28th Sept 9.30am – 12.30pm OR Mon 7th Oct 6.00 – 9.00 pm
Sew a Skirt Cost: $150
Over the weekend you’ll learn about choosing fabric, measuring yourself to make the right size, understanding and using a commercial pattern, how to sew pleats, pockets and buttonholes, as well as lots of tips and tricks for achieving a great finish.
You’ll come away from the course with your own fabulous Kelly Skirt, a copy of Megan’s pattern to use again at home, increased confidence in your totally transferable sewing skills and some new sewing friends.
You should be familiar with using a sewing machine (if not come along to Sewing Machine 101). If you haven’t made clothes before then this is the class for you.

Nitty Gritty Bits
I like to keep class sizes small so everyone gets all the attention they need. This means that the classes will only run if full.
I’ll send you an invoice on booking and payment is required within 24 hours to secure your place. I can only offer a refund if the class is full and there is someone on the waiting list to fill your place, or if you can find a replacement. There will be no make ups for sessions that you miss but you will get all the notes and materials from that class. If the class you want to take is full you can sign up on the waiting list and will get 1st priority if there is a cancellation and if I offer it again.
In the event that I have to cancel the class due to insufficient numbers I will give you a weeks notice and a full refund. If I have to cancel a class due to illness you’ll receive a full refund or a spot the next time I do the class, as you prefer.
